Presentation Guidelines

Contributed Talks

To prepare for your contributed talk, please follow these instructions:

  • Find your submission ID in the program.

  • Your presentation should be 12 minutes maximum, allowing for up to 3 minutes of questions. The schedule is quite tight, so please keep it within the limit. Your session chair will interrupt your presentation when your time is up.

  • Because of time constraints and to allow for a seamless transition between talks, your presentation will be loaded in advance on a shared laptop. We cannot accommodate the use of personal computers for presentations in the parallel sessions.

  • Use the link provided via email to upload your presentation in .pdf or .pptx format only. Please name your presentation file according to your submission ID (e.g., 123.pptx). We need your slides to be uploaded no later than the evening before your talk.

At the conference, please arrive 10 minutes early and introduce yourself to your session chair during the break right before your session, and make sure that your presentation is ready.

Poster Presentations
Size and Format

All contributed oral presentations will be 12 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions. We recommend preparing your slides in 16:9 widescreen format for optimal display quality. Presentations must be saved as .PPT, .PPTX, or .PDF.

Speakers are required to bring their final presentation on a USB stick and hand it to the AV staff in their session room at least 15 minutes before the session begins. Please note that personal laptops cannot be used.

Posters must be in portrait (vertical) orientation with a maximum size of 36" width x 48" height (914 mm x 1219 mm)
A0 posters will fit within these dimensions.

If you would like to include the NetSci 2026 logo on your poster, the logo files are available here.

Printing and Pickup
Poster location

The poster session will take place on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30pm in the Amesbury Ballroom. Posters will be arranged according to your assigned Poster Location number found in the program.

At the conference, please hang your poster in the designated location between 6:00-6:30pm. Pushpins will be provided to participants.

For a convenient printing option, we have set up a dedicated PhD Posters ordering link — your poster will be printed and delivered directly to the NetSci venue. Printing costs are the responsibility of the attendee; the cost of a 36" x 48" poster on semi-gloss paper is $56.99.

Standard pricing applies to orders placed before Friday, May 29 at 11:59 PM EST; orders placed after this date and before the final deadline of Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 PM EST will incur a $35 rush fee.

All posters ordered by the deadline will be delivered to the conference venue by June 1 and stored near the NetSci registration desk. We ask that you verify receipt of your poster during the lunch breaks on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Alternatively, you are welcome to arrange your own printing and bring your poster to the venue.

Contributed Oral Presentations
Lightning Talks

To prepare for your lightning talk, please follow these instructions:

  • Prepare your 3-minute presentation using Google Slides with a 16:9 aspect ratio, consisting of 4 slides total: a title slide followed by 3 content slides. Please do not include animations.

  • Share your slides with lightningnetsci2026@gmail.com before Monday, June 1 at 12:00 PM EST, and send an email with your submission ID in the subject line.

  • We will use fully automated slide transitions. This format has proven effective in previous conferences, ensuring smooth sessions and high-quality presentations. We strongly encourage you to rehearse your 3-minute presentation with the automated timing to become comfortable with the format, as you will be presenting in front of the full audience.

  • Each content slide will remain on screen for 1 minute. The title slide will be shown during a 30-second interval between speakers transitions.

At the conference, we ask that all lighting talk presenters (both Sessions 1 & 2) please be present in the Amesbury Ballroom at least 20 minutes before the start of Lighting Session 1  to allow time for organization and setup.
